Most coffee from Peru is grown in the northern part of the country by small farmers organized into cooperatives. Peru is a prime destination for great organic coffees that are known for their spark of brightness and soft sweetness.
Expect your palate to be filled with notes of sweet, juicy, and floral notes with a medium body and bright effervesce.
Taste The Difference: Each bag contains 400g (~1lb) of freshly roasted fair-trade organic beans that are crafted to order.
Roast Recommendation: Medium to Dark

Behind The Bean
Location: Cajamarca region in northern Peru (bordering Ecuador)
Farm: Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Aprocanorsi LTDA
Founded: 2004
Varieties: Caturra, Nacional, Pache, Catimor, Bourbon and Castillo
Altitude: 1,300-1,950 masl
Growth: Shade grown
Process: Wet Processed
Harvest Season: April - December
A Cup With Heart:
The Aprocanorsi cooperative brings together 159 small producers (29 of which are women) and is rooted in a strong emphasis on social and environmentally responsible principles.
This coffee is grown at altitudes greater than 1,400 meters above sea level which classifies it as a "Hard Bean" or HB. The higher altitudes and lower temperatures produce a slower maturing fruit and a harder, less porous, yummier good bean.
